Cap: 35-140+ mm in diameter, convex to broadly convex to plane at maturity. White flesh maturing to light orange and white at maturity. Flesh bruising bluish green.
Stem: 100-160+ mm in length, orange / white. Flesh bruising bluish green where injured. Persistent membranous annulus (ring) from partial veil that becomes dusted with translucent spores at maturity.
Gills: Attachment adnate to adnexed. Grayish-blue -white coloration in young fruit bodies becoming blue in maturity.
Spores: Dark purple spores.
Strain Origin: They are a wild variety of psilocybe cubensis found in Southern USA. Regular strength as far as potency. Named after the mycologist who first identified the sub-variety. This mushroom is highly domesticated, making it extremely easy to grow. In addition, Hillbilly is very resistant to contamination. This genetic variant is renowned for its ease of growth and huge fat stems and thick caps.
